The New QCB Garden Annexe for Your Family Members
An affordable QCB garden annexe with bathroom, kitchen and bedroom that needs no planning permission, ideal for housing a family member with extra space and privacy.
Hi there! Iain here — hope you are well. I have the pleasure of introducing to you the new Booths Garden Annexe which does not require planning permission. It can be installed under the caravan act. So if you need extra accommodation for a family member, for extra space or even just privacy, the new affordable Garden Annexe is now available.
The photo above shows an internal size of 20′ x 8′ (6.1m x 2.44m) and is the perfect affordable choice for one-person accommodation, with its own bathroom, kitchen and bedroom. Internal size 20ft x 8ft — only £51,983 inc VAT. This price includes free delivery in England, all groundworks up to 20 metres, electric supply and certification up to 40 metres, air conditioning, kitchen, shower, window blinds, interior lighting and commercial grade flooring. The price does not include white goods like fridges and microwaves.
The expense of a concrete foundation is not required — the garden annexe sits on its own adjustable feet, and these work over a variety of sites and even slopes. You won’t find another garden annexe in the UK at this price and with all these benefits.
Your annexe has a truly zero maintenance exterior with a 25 year guarantee — you won’t ever have to maintain the exterior with painting or staining due to the modern materials used. Planning permission is not required as your garden annexe is portable and therefore comes under the caravan act from a planning point of view. If your circumstances change, the garden annexe is easily taken out as it’s 100% portable. That portability means it remains an asset which you can sell on to a third party if you ever need to, so although it might be expensive initially, you’d recover at least half of that if you ever decided to sell it at a later date.

okay I'm here with Alex and Alex yeah it's fairly compact isn't it so and unlike the other QC B's it's got two walls on the front yes because there's a so that's the bathroom so as I say what the beauty of it is is instantaneous if you want to put somebody in your garden don't worry about planning permission we can build this in a couple of days and you can have it really quickly and that's so avoids eight weeks of well it's planning it's always longer than that the quick story that the things that driven me a lady phoned up says my mum who's not very well lives in Felix though I live in Cambridge I want to put her in the garden how can I go about that now we know and how to do it with build lots of garden studios it's an eight-month journey through the council so it just takes months dragging on so this doesn't need plan efficient you could put a speedboat in Uganda power in you guys Caravan in your garden you put one of these in you go that's called chattel so it's a right that you have to do so going back to that lady it was demonstrated to us that we had a late a couple by a studio from Cornwall in their garden the whole process not through our fault but through lots of other reasons one the cost so what did they do they weren't looking for another cost I don't blame them why wouldn't you to the plan information they had to go through all the plan of mission all the building control three they then decided to come and buy the studio so we had to design it we had to build it and we had to fit it into our schedule the whole process three months that chap the general woman died within three weeks of the studio being built now the waste 18 months they could have been living with their children joy in the life twenty other quotes to make sure they were buying the rights to do so what we do we made the studio that's cost-efficient doesn't need plan of mission and you can do it instant okay yes I'm a tall so yeah so there's a wall window then your door a window window and then your wall yeah and presumably one of them tilts for ventilation yeah presumably this is the is that a bed or a sofa or this is a payback they call this is well I mean we don't supply these but we're trying to demonstrate what could be done right so we've put a daybed in here two mattresses two months so if you had somebody staying over all these two of years you know this studio size is basically good for one person right that's what we are thinking but if you have somebody stays it so well the thing about this you know I know that phone call obviously made a big impression on you but it's a problem for kids coming back from university yes problem all over the country you know people want independence they want to be separate but you know it's like well I know somebody lives in my garden Irene 74 years old she lives at the bottom of our garden biggest thing is loneliness she's she comes up to the house she doesn't come up every day she comes up maybe twice than three times a week but she can come when I was here when she was and she and she interacts with the family that's keeping it's priceless really isn't it so this is a the word that I'm using is temporary and loneliness the two key words because this is a temporary solution yeah you could build this we could build this my goal is to build this in two days we come into government building in two days we could craning but it would still probably be two days work by time you put the drainage and all the level in and everything the craning gets over the plan of mission yeah yeah so whatever way you looking at two days before you could move in that is instantaneous that's amazing so so then so you take that and then you take a really good price because I'm every nut and bolt is being weighed we're trying to Ryanair this type of business yes we come back to our suppliers you can only have this kitchen you can only have yeah you can't have this walls somewhere else you can't have that window somewhere else yeah yeah this comes as a as it is yeah did you want to give me a quick tour of the layout then in there now and then we can chat about each bit individually yeah so obviously this is a moment you treating this as a base account and the view from this end of it is TV all-important TV would ruin their wardrobe this there's quite a big double wardrobe obviously you're gonna have stuff we've got drawers or groups in kitchen kitchen so you'd have a whole butt plug in whole halogen hope that you can cook on you sink microwave again we don't supply the white appliances yeah you know my fellow comm cheap as chips get a problem bang thinking about we designed them to fit a oh yeah yeah yeah so so and then obviously a kitchen you got so you could have to see the table so easy my man everybody needs a back the boiler cupboard here's a boiler that's a 50 litre boiler I'll give you an 8 minute shower power rails yes so for a single person it would be it's you were students yeah this is 24 why that's you know 6 point 1 meter yeah most houses one of these with ear the ball in the garden you know you'd have to have a really narrow house so that and obviously there are houses that it's not gonna fail them you can't help that yeah well you say no if it doesn't fit across the bow my garden it could fit a long way yeah we've got a long ways yeah of course then we can start and discuss the options with this building of how you can extend it yeah yeah okay that's fantastic thanks Alex

so you mentioned that larger size Alex the 24 foot by eight yeah what how does that affect the layout as you just get a bit more in a presumably you see an area obviously would yeah that becomes a little bit bigger be a bit more comfortable yeah spacious yeah because I think 24 it wasn't changed the shower so I know that that's always gonna stay the same yeah yeah that doesn't need to that need to be big it's hard to make the bathroom smaller it you know it has to be yeah well this it grows by six hundred mil or two foot this grows by six hundred mil - so yeah and again you can add I mean we are going to do is watch this space next week we're building taking these windows out and we're extending it you know how to turn it into an l-shape so it will be the L shape with a double bedroom and so we're showing you this so that should be a t-shape want it no else it would you extend onto the ash out of oh you so you get a little wet right sorry it should be quite an extra storage right right so yeah so BL shaped and we'll give you that much more space or give you the to two separate rooms yeah yeah okay and again the thing with the craning and the Planning Commission you can bring in two parts and join them together you don't mention writing in the third part okay so it's limited to and remember the thing with this is we're gonna put it on the back of a lorry so we can't as a wider so you could say I like it but one wider yeah we're gonna go wider yeah yeah go down them all the way and Ukraine okay thank you
