school classroom in glastonbury
Hi there - Iain here - hope you are well.
This case study is about how a school had the award winning QC studio installed for use as a classroom.
Deborah Meaden was on the panel of judges which gave the QC studio a "Smarta" award for innovative design. This 10m x 4m studio is used as classroom and has a toilet installed. It was installed at St John’s C of E VC Infants’ School in Glastonbury. It only took 5 days to install and like all the QC studio designs, it is portable, so if the school ever wanted to reposition it, or even sell it on at a later date, they can. It remains a valuable asset on the school books.
The classroom has a full glass frontage with a flyover roof and decking below this. The decking was also designed to handle wheelchair access.
All of this at a far lower cost than conventional building methods and with the QC studios unique zero maintenance exterior. (no painting or staining required for at least 25 years - your caretaker will be happy)
Katherine - one of the school governors who helped order and design the studio said...
"The classroom is used every day for special needs children and after school club. The staff are very pleased with it."
