A Mercedes sales office — chosen over a portacabin

so I'm I'm here with Alex uh there's a lot of car dealers around here Alex Mercedes BMW Porsche P swagen volswagen Audi also signs yeah but this these uh companies Ridgeway select whated the sales office to run their where the second hand cars when they bought off these new garages are sold in this lot here so they bought a nice garage you can see some of the cars are very Prestige so they didn't just want a porter cabin so they bought one of our uh Garden studios the S suite and here it is over here yeah I think it looks so there's uh how many guys working in there I think there's five guys working in there' got uh four desks some of them are you know uh top and tailed on the desks yeah but obviously there's probably two or three guys in there at any given time uh I think there's probably five or six guys work there then take rotors cuz obviously they work on Sundays and Saturdays right so it gets plenty of use constant use and uh and they seem pretty happy don't they and there that's great okay thank you

and and the thing he did love about this was the fact that it's zero maintenance so just clarify that for anybody that doesn't understand that none of it is uh Timber It's All Steel so the pillars all those posts they look like wood but they're actually steel then are they they're steel uh and the post are all PVC everything looks Timber it's all so this Studio's been up I don't know 7 months I should imagine uh we're on a sea front location behind that building there is the sea so they're going to take take quite a a pounding from the weather and they just wanted it to look nice they haven't got time to maintain and varnish and you know Timber's always moving and rotten all the Death thing everything's maintenance free right so that's and that's what Andrew was uh that was key key ke that's what you want in a sales Suite I mean the key thing for Andrew was I mean there was a 30 ton mound of uh hardcore here that we came in with the JCB took all that away leveled it all down and then bu the studio and the whole operation took us 3 days so although this is a beautiful studio and it looks absolutely solid we could take this away within a day so if you were running uh a garage or you know housing Selling Houses and you want a s Sweet this is the perfect thing so it was stalled in 3 days so moving it you probably 3 or 4 days five days Mo it in a day we would because of the location the fact that we would bring the Lorry straight up would be straight on the l i this would be down in 5 hours 5 hours and remember it's on concrete feet so what the would happen there'd be no imprint left over with the rate you'd rate the gravel back over here you wouldn't know we've been right so within 5 hours we'd have it back on the Lorry if you are just to refit it because of the fly over in the deck and the the canopy and everything on this one it' be a 2-day fit so within two days we could have that recited somewhere else yeah wherever or alternative which is quite exciting because of the massive area that we've got our workshop with containers we could actually store it for you so you could temporarily put this building here and bring it back and so somebody like a housing estate could use it as a sales office when they don't need it we could store it we could store for a month say until they've got their new site up and running then we go and then reinstall it in the new site yeah and then it would go up exactly the same condition as as this one has right okay that's a beauty some studios we've moved five or six times so moving them is you know it's not a problem no not all that's great thank you for that

Just uh this is a bit of a closeup on the uh walls for the studio, Alex, because they're not uh well, this steel, aren't they? Yeah, this is steel. So, it's like plastic coated uh galvanized steel.

Uh comes in this several colors. One of the things if you were doing, we wouldn't do this domestically, but if you were doing a sales suite, you might want it in your colors. You know, you might have certain colors your business.

We could if you were buying a sales suite offers do your colors whatever them colors may be. It's quite a vast you know it's all the same. This is all steel.

It's all folded and it's all available in different different colors. So you could have a company branding. Yeah.

We don't do that in the because in on our domestic side but we will definitely not do it because it would just give too much choice and it all get a bit uh carried away with itself. But if you were doing a company and you wanted some company branding, I would be I would definitely look into that. Yeah.

so I was just going to ask you Alex about um they've got some fly over roof on this studio yeah it's not just a standard rectangle is it no what we call this flyover because basically the beams of the studio fly over the windows and that's why it's called a flyover this side we call a canopy because we can't fly over in both directions so on this side we have to put a canopy if this had just been a flyover we wouldn't have needed the posts all right let's see on this side because it's a canopy we need the posts but we put the three posts in this one and it does work I mean and the thing that we did was we kept it low and then we planted all around it this was we did this job when we left this job it was like this yeah they didn't have to do anything they were working in it within hours of us leaving which is what you know if you've got fewer if you were putting a sales Suite in on a housing mistake she's selling new new houses we will make it perfect you won't have to then send in your guys or your plastic power to it and they're off and running yeah and being on a house can be simple yeah so what we're what we're trying to compete with is don't convert your garage in your house in your housing when you're selling these new homes don't convert a garage don't put on a big ugly Port cabin do something like this beautiful that reflects the beautiful beauty of your houses yeah oh it looks lovely in the flyover roof does sad to the uh to the Luke although they look nice without the flyover but yeah but yeah Andrew definitely wanted to fly over you like that okay that's great thank you

just noticed as well Alex they've had an AC installed we're outside the studio so obviously this is the outside unit but uh for so for a sales Suite that's the way to go do you think oh yeah cuz it's so controllable you know we've got our office at the workshop and uh that's what we've got and it's just you walk in and you just pick a temperature hot or cold cooler and just take it up and down as you wish it does give excellent It's the professional way yeah you just gotom you want to be comfortable window trying to find that temperature keypad it in and it's that temperature yeah and we can install them for yes yeah yeah we install them the whole thing brilliant okay thank you

so this is a sales Suite Alex what uh for anybody that doesn't know boo Garden studios what's the the rough history of how you've arrived at doing a sales Suite well we we basically set out to build Garden offices people who work from home and then the studios evolved from that and they got bigger uh then we did granny annexes and then we did Hotel pods and art studios and then it just dawned on us that you know yourself who's just bought a new home got the most luckily Sal Suite sitting outside the front of your house and you bought the show home which was the sales Suite which was then converted that must have been a lot of expense to the to the uh to the Builder so we just thought oh studio is ideal for this when Andrew and Darren F me up about a sales Suite outside the Mercedes garage got really switched on to that came down told him how excited I was and uh said I'd oversee the job myself and we we've built this I think it's great I think it's I think if you would selling something you know and it gives you salesman confidence doesn't it if the if their office is nice everybody everybody's confidence is that's that's the key okay that's fantastic thank you
